Contributor(s): Colin Steele

Bring your own everything (BYOx) is an all-encompassing term that covers various BYO-related trends in the enterprise.

The popularity of powerful technology products designed for consumers, such as Apple's iPhone, and the abundance of free or inexpensive applications for these devices, have contributed to the growth of these trends. The BYOx movement includes:

  • bring your own device (BYOD
  • bring your own apps (BYOA)
  • bring your own encryption (BYOE)
  • bring your own identity (BYOI)
  • bring your own technology (BYOT)
  • bring your own network (BYON)
  • bring your own wearables (BYOW)
