Amazon Kindle Touch
The Amazon Kindle Touch is an e-reader that sports a 6”, multi-touch display that users can manipulate to input commands. It weighs 7.8 ounces and comes with 4 GB of internal storage, which can hold 3,000 e-books, according to Amazon.
Because the Amazon Kindle touch screen uses electronic ink, the company claims that the Kindle Touch can last two months on single charge (with the wireless disabled). The Amazon Kindle Touch also includes the following features:
- Text-to-speech;
- Support for numerous file formats, including TXT, PDF, MP3, JPEG, DOC and DOCX files; and
- Micro USB 2.0 port and 3.5 mm headphone jack.
The Amazon Kindle Touch is available in two models: Wi-Fi-only or 3G-enabled. (Amazon completely subsidizes the costs of using 3G cellular networks, so that feature is limited to just downloading e-books.) User can also opt of a subsidized version of each model, which displays ads on the home screen and screen saver.
