DEFINITION - The Nickel-Metal Hydride (Ni-MH) battery is a rechargeable power source that is increasingly used in portable computers and other devices. The most advanced rechargeable battery offered, the Ni-MH battery provides up to 40 percent longer service life than Nickel-Cadmium batteries as well as greater charge capacity. Ni-MH batteries are also used in cellular phones and camcorders.
