What can you use Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync for?

ActiveSync links users' mobile devices to their Exchange accounts, but it can't do much else. Take this quiz to see what you know about the protocol.

Most IT administrators are familiar with using Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync for mobile management. ActiveSync lets users access some -- but not all -- of the data in their corporate Exchange accounts, and it gives IT some -- but not many -- mobile device management capabilities.

It's easy for users to set up, but enabling it on IT's end is a little bit tougher and involves using the Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync Web Administration Tool. And there are a lot of things that ActiveSync isn't capable of doing.

Take this quiz to see how much you know about what Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync can and can't do. We'll tally your results and then give you some resources to expand your knowledge about the protocol.
