Bluetooth and GPS the latest from Nokia arrives packed with features and applications.

The Nokia N78 was introduced in the United States last week, making it the latest consumer-oriented S60 smartphone to enter this market.

Kevin O'Brien and I were at a press event recently where Nokia was showing off the N78, and we shot a video demonstration that highlights its features:

An overview of the Nokia N78
The Nokia N78 is one of the first models to will come with an updated Symbian S60 operating system. Called S60 Feature Pack 2, this update adds better device performance, usability enhancements, and security enhancements.

This smartphone features Wi-Fi, 3G, and Bluetooth. It also has a GPS receiver.
A 320-by-240-pixel screen dominates the front of the N78. Below this is a Navi-Wheel to navigate menus and longer screens, instead of the usual D-pad.

Overall, it is 4.4 inches by 1.9 inches by 0.6 inches (113 mm, 49 mm, and 15.1 mm) in a candybar shape.

This Nokia includes a 3.2 megapixel camera with auto focus and Carl Zeiss optical technology.

It is available now contract-free from Nokia and other wholesale retailers at a suggested price of $580. This device is sold unlocked, and can be used with any GSM carrier, like AT&T or T-Mobile.
