QUESTION POSED ON: 12 March 2004
I am looking for an SD Wi-fi card that supports LEAP on a Pocket PC platform. Is there such a thing?

EXPERT RESPONSE
It doesn't look like it. LEAP (Lightweight EAP) is part of Cisco's Certified Extensions (CCX) program, so you can start by checking the CCX client devices page on Cisco's Web site. Unfortunately, I don't see any SDIO cards on the list right now.

SanDisk's Connect Wi-Fi SD card does not appear to support 802.1X at all. However, Socket's SDIO WLAN card supports 802.1X with EAP-TLS and PEAP on PPC, so you might be able to use that SD card if your WLAN supports multiple EAP types.
