Although your buildings are not terribly far apart, you should probably look for an outdoor bridging solution.
Proxim (which acquired the ORiNOCO product line from Agere) now sells two outdoor point-to-point bridging products:
The Proxim ORiNOCO Point-to-Point Radio Backbone Kit is based on 802.11b (2.4 GHz,) reaching up to 6 miles and speeds up to 11 Mbps. Use this product to connect data networks.
The Proxim Tsunami QuickBridge operates on the 5.8GHz unlicensed band, reaching from 2.5-6 miles at speeds up to 18-54 Mbps (distance and speed vary by model.) Use this product to connect mixed data and voice networks.
As for Cisco, you might consider the Cisco Aironet 350 Series Wireless Bridge. This model reaches up to 18 miles using 802.11b at 11 Mbps, in either point-to-point or point-to-multipoint configuration.
Please consider this just a starting point; visit each vendor's website ( www.proxim.com, www.cisco.com) to learn more. There are also many other companies that sell outdoor wireless bridging products. For example, Wave Wireless Networking's SPEEDLAN 9000 can be used in point-to-point, mesh, or star topologies, with spans up to 25 miles.
