How far can a wireless VoIP phone go?

Wireless VoIP range is roughly equivalent to your average Wi-Fi hot spot (i.e. 300 feet outside and 100 feet indoors.) Most outdoor WLAN deployments use a series of access points with overlapping coverage to provide services to large areas.
