VMware AirWatch Secure Content Locker

AirWatch Secure Content Locker is VMware’s content collaboration tool within its suite of MDM (mobile device management) products.

Like other MDM suites, AirWatch serves the administrative area dealing with deploying, securing, monitoring, integrating and managing mobile devices, such as smartphones, tablets and notebooks, in the workplace.

The Content Locker component allows users to securely present their work and collaborate on a variety of document types across desktops and various mobile computing devices. The collaboration platform provides a secured self-service Web portal that enables access work from home and offers a sync desktop client for the office. The Secure Content Locker mobile app is compatible with Android, iOSBlackBerryChromebook, OS X, Symbian and Windows devices. All clients can seamlessly access data whether it is stored on premises or in the cloud.

Aside from data access, Content Locker features content protection with AES 256-bit encryption, big screen presentations controlled from mobile devices, watermarks, comments on files, notifications and secure email, all of which support 18 languages.

Content Locker aims to make content collaboration simpler for businesses in diverse industries, including automotive, aviation, consumer goods, education, financial/banking, food services, government, healthcare, hospitality, insurance, legal, manufacturing, non-profit, oil and gas, pharmaceutical, publishing/media, retail, technology, transportation and utilities.
