Mobile Active Defense (MAD)

Mobile Active Defense (MAD) is a mobile device management software vendor.

Mobile Active Defense’s main product is the Mobile Enterprise Compliance and Security Server (MECS).  MECS is often compared to the Blackberry Enterprise Server (BES) because it provides the same type of security management capabilities, only for other vendor's mobile devices.

MECS provides enterprise IT organizations with the ability to centrally manage mobile devices and enforce policies for regulatory compliance and threat protection. A MECS server can either be hosted by MAD or reside in a demilitarized zone (DMZ) at the customer's site.

Mobile Active Defense has received a number of accolades from analyst firms and other third parties.
