Lemon Wallet requires users to take a digital photograph of the cards or receipts in their physical wallets. The app captures the photograph and stores a copy on Lemon Wallet's secure servers. All user data is encrypted within the app and on Lemon's servers, and users are required to use a PIN lock to access card information. Another security measure allows users to remotely unlink their Lemon account if they lose or misplace their smartphone.
Lemon Wallet works with iPhones, Androids and Windows Phones. Users can also purchase a paid subscription for $4.99 each month or $39.99 each year (prices as of April 2013), giving them access to card monitoring, lost-wallet services and enhanced security features.
