BlackBerry Z10

Contributor(s): Colin Steele

The BlackBerry Z10 (pronounced BlackBerry zed ten) is the first touchscreen smartphone to run the BlackBerry 10 operating system.

BlackBerry unveiled the new BlackBerry Z10 at a media event in January 2013, and the device became available on a country-by-country basis over the following three months. In the United States, three major carriers -- T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless and AT&T -- offer the BlackBerry Z10 on their networks.

The BlackBerry Z10 features a 4.2" (diagonal) touchscreen with 1280 x 760 resolution. It comes with 16 GB of internal storage and 2 GB of RAM, as well as MicroSD, USB 2.0 and Micro HDMI ports. The Z10's front-facing camera, which is designed for video chatting, has a 2-megapixel resolution and can take 720p video. The rear-facing camera, which is designed for taking photographs, has an 8-megapixel resolution. The device, which weighs less than a third of a pound, supports 4G LTE, 802.11 wireless and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity.

I have had my Z10 since April 2013 and I love it! For our business the security is unbeatable! The browser is faster then others. I think my Z10 knows me. When I type a text it is intuitive and usually the next word is suggested to me, just waiting for me to swipe it up and move on. Battery life could be improved, but since I am in IT and tend to use my devices to death. I have a charger for every occasion. Just try to die on me, I dare you... Love BB10! Thanks Blackberry. Can't wait to see what's next.
