Q

Analog Microwave Radio and Digital Microwave Radio

What is the difference between Analog Microwave Radio and Digital Microwave Radio? What are their relative advantages?
Analog microwave radio is an older technology, rapidly being replaced by a variety of digital microwave radio technologies. This shift occurred because, in general, digitizing signal transmission improves network performance and capacity. To learn more about older analog microwave radios, read Jeff Ashley's "Analog microwave radio systems" primer.
